Timeless femininity made to last

We deeply care about the future of our planet and we like to define ourselves as a conscious brand. We know the journey towards sustainability is a long road and involves major changes at all levels; therefore several seasons ago we started to take small steps to get closer to a bigger change.

This SS24 season is still based on our two main pilars: Terra and Green Journey. With both, 97% of our collection meets sustainability attributes.

Terra is our most sustainable project. The label conveys our commitment to the environment and to a better world in a clear, visual and certified way.

Our standards are high. For this reason, all the garments that form part of Terra are pieces that comply with measurable and certified sustainability attributes. Currently, 73% of the  Spring Summer 24 collection already has these characteristics. Terra is a journey that has just begun and that we hope will go a long way.

Moreover, in this journey towards sustainability, there are also processes, materials and actions that, although not officially certified, really add up in the right direction. All of this is part of the Green Journey.

Terra

All garments carrying this label fulfill at least one of the main sustainability criteria, always certified by official organizations.

SUSTAINABLE SOURCING

We are referring to the fibres chosen for the composition of the fabric and their certified sustainable origin.

Organic Cotton: No synthetic pesticides, or chemical fertilizers, no environmental impact and clean and safe crops. 50% of our cotton garments are organic. GOTS or similar certificate.

BCI Cotton: Ensures responsible use of cotton, better production for the people who produce it and better for the environment in which it grows in. Certified Better Cotton Initiative.

European Linen: Considered the best linen in the world and the least processed fibre in the market. Guaranteed resistance and durability, as well as minimal environmental impact. European FLAX Certificate.

Hemp: One of the most sustainable crops, it catches the surrounding CO2 improving the biodiversity around it. It does not need pesticides in its culture and needs very little water making it a long lasting and tough fibre. Technical and origin certificate.

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING

We believe we can consider a garment sustainable if it incorporates high sustainability standards within the production process.

Ecofinish Dye: The technique in which we carry the colouring by nebulization. We reduce both the water consumption as well as the chemicals used to fix the colours. We also save energy since we do not need to heat water as we would in the traditional process.EcoTechnology certificate from Aitex.

Ozono Denim Wash: A denim washing technique that uses an ozone generator. No corrosive chemicals are required and we remove the usual environmental impact that these processes require. EcoTechnology certificate from Aitex.

e-Flow Dye: The e-Flow technology is based on nano-bubbles that act as a vehicle to transport just the right amount of chemicals to the garment with a minimum amount of water and zero dumping. It is a dyeing system that uses just one litre of water to achieve the performance of a 50-litre washing machine.

COME FULL CIRCLE

When we refer to recycled fibre qualities or qualities obtained by reusing available or controlled resources. They all have official certificates.

Ecotec Cotton: The 80% of the used fibres to manufacture “Ecotec cotton” is recycled. It is known for its circular production. It creates new fabrics using waste from other fabrics or even garments. The use of this fibre is sustainable for both its environmental responsibility as well as cost cuts. ECOTEC certificate (Italy).

Recycled Cotton: It is a sustainable fibre, made from cotton pieces and cotton fibres that are wasted during the original production process. Choosing these fabrics we achieve the same technical performance leaving a better footprint for our environment. Global Recycled Standard certificate or similar.

Recycled Linen: It is a sustainable fibre, made from linen pieces and linen fibres that are wasted during the original production process. Choosing these fabrics we achieve the same technical performance leaving a better footprint for our environment. Global Recycled Standard certificate or similar.

Recycled Polyester: Fabric made from recycled fibres (PET or polyester fibres or fabrics). Choosing these fabrics we achieve the same technical performance leaving a better footprint for our environment. Global Recycled Standard or similar certificates.

Ecovero Viscose: This type of fabric is obtained from renewable certified wood cellulose, using a production process that is responsible with the environment. LENZING ECOVERO or similar certificate.

Lyocell: This fibre was born from the need to improve the existing cellulose based fabrics, as well as environmental conditions of the production process. It is usually made from bamboo pulp, using a closed circle system. The quick grow of the bamboo helps reduce the water consumption improving the environmental impact of other similar fibres. Origin and technical certificate.

Tencel: Similar to Lyocell, but with a specific difference, it is exclusively made out of eucalyptus pulp that is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), carrying as well the quality stamp by the Pan-European Forest Council (PEFC). Currently this is the most respectful fibre to the environment from the synthetic family.

cero capsule: Every season excess fabric from the textile industry ends up in landfills, but through our c e r o collection we give them a second life and generate a more sustainable production process. Because we believe it’s worth being part of the solution. Cero means Zero Waste, replenishment and create beauty from discarded fabrics that would otherwise be wasted away.

Green Journey

All garments carrying this label fulfill at least one of the main sustainability criteria, always certified by official organizations.

NATURAL FIBERS

Natural fibers are a sustainable option that allows us to advance towards a “green” economy, based on energy efficiency, with industrial more sustainable and ecological processes, reducing waste to the minimum.

KM0 PRODUCTION

Proximity is a form of sustainability. That’s why we try to work increasingly with local suppliers. Around 40% of our production process is based in Europe, mainly in Spain, Italy and Portugal, while we manufacture the rest with partners with whom we've maintained a close relationship for years. Among them, we especially value the artisanal quality of Morocco and India, always together with audited factories.

AUDITS

The relationship with most of our partners has been built up over more than 10 years of work. We regularly visit the workshops, which allows us to know first-hand where and how our garments are produced. Currently, 80% of non-KM0 suppliers are audited by SEDEX or BSCI (Ethical Trade Audit), which guarantees compliance with both labor and environmental standards.

PACKAGING AND LABELLING

From this season on all our labels are made from recycled or certified paper from sustainable forests. On the other hand we have reduced considerably the amount of polybags used in internal processes and also all our bags are made from recycled plastic. Our store shopping bags are made out of paper, 100% recyclable and made in certified paper PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification).

DIGITAL PRINTING

We continue using digital printing techniques instead of the printing press for some of our prints. The digital technique is more respectful to the environment, as it has a reduced carbon footprint, using less water than traditional printing while fabric surpluses are avoided since production minimums are not required. This way the benefits are twofold: we produce less surplus fabric which doesn’t end up in landfills and it can adapt itself to a limited production, which is our case. Transparency

In order to verify that a textile product is chemically safe, we control that 100% of our suppliers comply with health legislation and with special vigilance to the "non-presence" of the following substances in the dyeing processes: Certificate of Non-Use.

PRODUCTION SHARE PER COUNTRY

SPAIN

Our basic trousers have innovative dyeing and finishing processes, which allows us to reduce their carbon footprint. Our organic cotton t-shirts and sweatshirts are also "made in Spain" in a wide range of colours.

ITALY

95% of our knitting collection is "made in Italy", a country with a great textile tradition where tradition and innovation are linked by the use of noble yarns such as mohair, merino wool, alpaca or recycled fibres.

PORTUGAL

Portugal is known for its sustainable identity and innovative fabrics and production techniques. This is where we produce the linen and tencel series with garment dyeing, finishing and tailoring to high standards.

TURKEY

A large part of our tailoring is manufactured in this country with a long history in the development of fabrics.
A perfect combination of know-how and impeccable tailoring that confirms many years of tradition in the textile industry.

CHINA

We mainly produce the most technical garments such as down jackets or imitation leather. Latest technology in processes and fabrics for "made in China".

TUNISIA

Tunisia is establishing itself as a textile industry that drives innovation and technological development locally. We centralise the tailoring of tailored trousers here because it also has its own weaving mills, which facilitates the selection of high-quality raw materials within close proximity.

INDIA

This is our most artisanal production, small shops where we produce our iconic pieces such as romantic shirts with lace and unique embroidery. Also a large part of our prints are "made in India"; traditional techniques such as "block print" or much more modern techniques such as digital printing.
