Get lost in Marrakesh..

Marrakesh, which in recent years has turned into a proper cosmopolitan city, is the ideal destination for a short break or to enjoy a long weekend. "It's so close to Spain but it takes you to a different time and a different culture" said Paula, when she got back to the office after her trip. When we asked for more information, she told us that it's a beautiful city with plenty of lovely places to visit and that the colours and the aroma of spices pervade the streets. All you need to do is go with the flow and enjoy its culture, its amazing gastronomy, its light and, of course, its famous markets, full of small treasures.

Even if the kindness and attitude of the people make everything bearable, including the huge crowds in Jemaa El Fna square and the market, if you are looking for a quiet place you can always have a Moroccan tea or something to eat on the terraces at Place des Epices or Jemaa el Fna, and watch the crowds from a quiet spot.

Here are a few tips on the places we will make sure to visit when we go to Marrakesh. Don't miss them!

WHAT TO SEE

- The souk: to buy or simply to browse, but make sure you don't get lost!
- Koutoubia Tower
- Saadian Tombs
- Majorelle Garden: queues at Yves Saint Laurent gardens are normally quite long as many visitors are attracted by its museum and gardens.
